Description
This is a very pleasant, silver,
"One Real"
from the Republic of Chile. It was struck at the Santiago mint in 1844. This was during the two terms of the fourth President of Chile, Manuel Bulnes, President from 1841 until 1851.
Chile struck these One Real coins with 8 dates from 1843 until 1850 all at the Santiago mint. There were five different Assayers involved and numerous overdates and over initial varieties.
Weight: 2.94 Grams, 19 Millimeters, .902 Silver. Mintage: Unknown.
