Antique 5 1/2" Silverplate Lidded Cream Pitcher-Flower Bee-Royal Mfg-1894-1908

Description

Offered is this antique silverplate cream pitcher with lid. The piece has an etched flower design on both sides, a top finial and a handle with a raised design of flowers and even a bee. It was made by Royal Mfg. Co. of Detroit, in business from around 1894 through 1908. In addition to the company name, the bottom is stamped "80 010", probably an item or pattern number. Other numbers have been etched on the bottom and under the lid by a previous owner.
The piece is approx. 5 1/2" high and about 4 3/4" across, including the handle and spout. It is in very good condition for its age. The lid is well-attached and opens and closes easily. Almost all of the plating is intact, with only a few very small areas of wear. There is one tiny dent on one side near the bottom, below the etched flowers, and a few very small shallow bumps on the lid.
