Antique European 800 Marked Silver Sugar Bowl w/Lions Heads Repousse 7 oz
This is an unusual old sugarbowl that I came across and thought might be worth trying on ebay. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the matching spoon. The glass bowl, which is in good condition with no chips or cracks, is held in place by three ornate columns featuring lions heads at the top of each. I have not cleaned it at all. It appears to be in pretty good condition under the tarnish. The marks at the base are very small and I must apologize for my camera's inability to get better close ups. It's stamped somewhat crudely with what appears to be a "2" and then an "R" and then "(800)", followed by a small mark that I've done my best to draw(please see pic at the bottom). This final mark is much more cleanly stamped than my drawing. The weight of the piece, without the glass bowl, is approximately 7 and a half ounces. The dish portion of this piece measures 6 inches by 5 inches and the piece stands approximately 3 inches in height. Please email me if you have any questions or need more pictures. Thanks
