Antique 1905 Forbes Co. Quadruple Silverplate Royal Baby Bowl with Etched Pixies.
Produced by the Forbes Silver Co. in high quality 'quadrupleplate'. Pat. no and date from Feb. 7th, 1905. Design known as 'The Royal Baby Plate- No. 340'.
Measures 8.5"/ 21 cm across.
Weight: 365 gr.
Antique condition with considerable dents and nicks from spoons etc in the middle portion of the bowl. As would be expected in an item 117 years old!I It retains a wonderful patina and buttery feel.
There are worn etched pixie figures at play that circumnavigate the rim. They are shown running with hoops, dancing, pulling a wagon and in one spot running away from what looks like a large bear.
