    This 118-page first draft dated May 8, 1992 was written by screenwriter Bill Phillips for noted genre director John Carpenter. Phillips was also the screenwriter of Carpenter's CHRISTINE in the early 80's.  Seven-time Academy Award-winning make-up FX artist Rick Baker (OCTAMAN, THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, NORBIT) and his crew were commissioned to create multiple sculptures reimagining the look of the Gill-Man.
