An adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ original book “Tarzan of the Apes.” 136 pp. Stamped “Draft” on the title page along with “Received Mar 26 1982 Store Library.” Script measures 8 1/2 “ by 14”. Stain on the lower right of the title page; contents clean. No specific author stated although Robert Towne wrote the initial draft, or at least half of one while he awaited a studio to pick it up. He was bought out of the project and the final screenwriting credits went to P. H. Vazak (Towne’s dog) and Michael Austin. The screenplay was nominated for an Oscar.
