Lacroix 'Impressionist' Huge, Puffy Fabric Bracelet

Looking at this Christian Lacroix bracelet is like looking an impressionist Japanese painting. You see an array of different colors that seem imbued with light, hazy, with details blurred, seemingly insignificant compared to the play of light and colors. Each portion presents a different scene, it's a 360˚ canvas that invites a closer examination.
Indeed, we do invite you to look closely and be awed by this puffy or "pouf" bracelet by Lacroix, which showcases a rarely-used material for jewelry, fabric. The fabric's impressionist-style palette has a rainbow of hues, including pink, pale and bright blue, yellow green, grey, pale yellow, white and black.
This bracelet is also a standout because of its super-chunky look. You might feel like you're on the runway when you wear this, and that's because this pouf design bracelet was introduced on the catwalk.
Lacroix is most famous for his expressive heart motif jewelry, but his roots are in theatre, particularly costume design. This, he brought to the runway. His first haute couture show in 1987 was hailed a success, with critics "blown away" by the "playfulness" of his colors and fabrics, as well as his "intricate detailing" and "theatricality". Among the cental theme was the "pouf", described as an "inventive, exaggeratedly puffy skirt". This bracelet (plus another one we've also listed, see item 0421-LAC985) are an extension of the pouf design, with the same playful use of color and fabric.
Our bracelet is a wide 2", with an all-around impressionist design that looks different from every angle. It has the aesthetics of an impressionist landscape, and through the haze, you can pick out blurry flowers and leaves, tree branches, water, maybe even tiny animals. In one segment, I even espied Lacroix's famous hearts (see our first picture)!
It has an inner girth of 8", but since it is very puffy, the outer girth is 13 3/8". From the inner to the outer edges is about an inch thick.
The bracelet's puffy portion is filled in with foam padding. While the outer design is colorful, the bracelet's inner girth is covered in all black fabric.
The bracelet is lightweight, despite its humongous size. It is marked with the designer's script "CL" logo in gilt metal on the inner girth.
In overall very good to excellent condition. The colors are amazingly intact, with no signs of fraying or stray threads. Minimal sign of wear.
