Description
This is one of Hollywood's more famous unproduced screenplay because writer Ron Bass was paid nearly million to write it; and at various points stars like Sharon Stone and Julia Roberts were attached to star in the movie. What happened? Well, it got caught up in "development hell" as have so many other productions. Also, this was written around a time when a spate of ghost-centric movies were released, and the script had some overlapping key ingredients with the other films..
If you read the script, you'll see the elements that could have struck audiences are duplicative; although the tone of this production would have been very different from most of them.
At the time Ron Bass wrote this script, he was one of the most in-demand screenwriters in Hollywood. He had recently written Rain Man and Joy Luck Club; and was about to write My Best Friend's Wedding and What Dreams May Come, so he was working with the top talent in the movie industry.
This copy is in good condition. 132 pages. The title page is dark and badly copied, for some reason, but all it contains is the title and date of the script, plus Julia Robert's name in big type at the top. The rest of the script is a copy of the screenplay, not a great one but readable.
