The Springfield Armory XD (Xtreme Duty) line of handguns are polymer framed, striker fired, semi-automatic pistols designed to meet the various needs of law enforcement agencies. The XDM series of handguns share many of the same features that made the standard XD line great but adds many improvements to better cater to the end-users shooting experience. The XDM features interchangeable back straps to better contour the grip for each individual users preference in feel and comfort. The aggressive grip texturing helps to lock the pistol into the palm of your hand for a positive locked-in grip. The handgun also employs many safety features such as a trigger safety, grip safety, loaded chamber indicator, as well as a cocked striker indicator to ensure safe and deliberate operation of this weapon. Other notable features include an ambidextrous magazine release that does not have to be flipped/or reversed; the magazine release can be pressed from either side at any time.
The Air Venturi / Springfield Armory collaboration XDM series of Airsoft pistols accurately recreates a training version of the real XDM. The fit, feel, and function are all 1:1 with the polymer used feeling near identical to the real thing. Compatibility with WE-Tech parts, magazines, and upgrades mean this lightweight pistol is far from being light on features.
