The listing is for a Victorian quadruple plate / plate figural covered sugar. The base is marked with the Rockford Silver Co. marks along with quadruple plate which dates the manufacture prior to 1913 when all manufactures of silver plate discontinued the process of quad plating. There is a wide band featuring putti or nudes riding on goats in a forest of grapes and vines in both the traditional shiny silver plate and the acid etched finish. Together they create a fantastic contrast. Condition: The covered sugar is in good condition as shown in the pictures. There are no monograms or dents and the silver plate has lots of shine. The cover fits properly and the inside is clean and usable. Size: It stands 6.25 inches tall and measures 8 inches wide at the widest point. Shipping: We gladly combine shipping whenever possible.
