The listing is for a quadruple plate / silver plate spoon holder or sugar basket, manufactured by Simpson Hall & Miller. The basket dates to the late 1800's when the manufactures of Quadruple plate was still used by manufactures of silver plate. It features both the traditional shiny silver plate finish and the acid etched or "Butler Finish", used to replicate years of polishing. Condition: The spoon holder is in fine condition as shown in the pictures. There are no monograms or dents and the silver plate is shiny and bright. There is ware to the bottom of the inside as shown in the picture. The handle is sturdy. Size: It stands 9.5 inches tall and measures 3 3/8 inches wide measuring the widest point of the rim.
