Vintage “Metsäpirtti” hinged bangle bracelet in 18K yellow gold by Kalevala Koru, Helsinki, Finland. Made in 1961. Bracelet is a polished yellow gold with slight rosy hue, with the textured recesses in a subtly contrasting brighter yellow gold. O
riginal inspiration for this piece is an ancient piece of jewelry in the collection of the Finnish National Museum.
Tension push clasp with release button and safety catch.
Fully marked on the interior “ꓘK” [crown] “750” [boat] “H7” “kk”.
Very good vintage gently worn condition with some typical minor surface wear. Minor dents and scratches add to the vintage patina – see images. One side of the bottom half has flattened slightly from wear. Free from damages and repairs. The typical minor imperfections that can be seen in our highly magnified photos won't be obvious or distracting when this is being worn.
Weight is 1.35 oz T or 41.9 grams. Interior circumference is 7 inches. Interior width is 2 ½ inches by 2 1/8 inches. Width of bracelet is 3/4 of an inch at widest, tapering to 3/8ths of an inch.
