About Pietro Marcati Spirits:
One century of History that encompasses all our Spirit
Our story starts in 1919, when the brothers Pietro and Luigi returned from the Great War and took over the historical Pharmacy of Veronella.
Enterprising
and long-sighted, Pietro soon abandoned the galenic prescriptions and
specialized
in the art of making spirits, using centuries-long know-how.
Tradition, quality, innovation and also courage, culture, corporate vision.
This is the essence that has always driven our family and that has made our liquors and spirits famous in the world.
A unique, strong and bold essence, like the aroma that welcomes our visitors on our doorstep.
We call it the Centenary Spirit.
Marcati faces the major events of the ‘900
His dream was so strong that he overcame the 1929 crisis: Pietro moved to Verona where he established the company’s first industrial plant.
The shadow of war returned, destroying the plant, but not the Spirit.
In 1946, the new beginning: he starts again enthusiastically and generously.
Giuseppe, Pietro’s son, takes his place at the company’s helm and continues his work with great determination.
After a decade, the works are transferred to Sommacampagna, in the new headquarters that allow the company to consolidate its business; during the economic boom in the 1960s, its products become well known and appreciated everywhere.
1978
The third generation
In 1978 the third generation takes the lead, with Pietro, Andrea and Maria Paola.
The company makes a leap in quality: it opens up to the foreign markets, purchases prestigious brands, faces the challenges of an increasingly developed and
globalized
world.
