vintage derby silver plate sugar bowl etched glass

Description

Up for auction is derby silver plated container with a etched glass bowl. Not sure what this was for ( thinking a sugar bowl )?I bought this at a old farmstead auction awhile ago. Has tarnish and is around 8 1/2 inches tall x 9 1/2 inches wide ( handles ).
