Vintage Leonard Silverplate Sugar Scuttle Bowl from Japan 6”

Description

Featured here is a silverplate sugar scuttle from Leonard silver of Japan. This scuttle was made to scoop sugar from a larger sugar source to then scoop from the scuttle into your tea cup. Quite a fancy pattern, with flowers, a peened backing, and other ornate filigree. In decent condition for its age but does have some tarnish and wear, mostly to copper colored interior of scuttle, as well as a few spots of corrosion. No scoop included. Measures about 6” tall with handle, just over 6” long, 3.5” wide.
