WMF GERMAN ART DECO SILVER PLATED SUGAR BOWL & CREAMER W/ WOOD HANDLE

Description

German Art Deco silver plated sugar bowl and creamer with wood handle, and with a decorative spiraling ray pattern over the conical bodies.  The sugar bowl measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the opening and 2 1/2 inches high, and the creamer measures 4 1/2 inches high at the spout and 3 1/4 inches across the opening, and both 2 3/4 inches in diameter at the foot rim.  The creamer is marked on the base central pocked surface "WMF" with two other marks.  There are tiny black tarnish spots on the inside bottom of both.  The sugar bowl has tiny nicks around the rim and a flame form loss of the silver plate on the inside measuring approximately 1 3/4 inch high (see photo). The creamer handle black lacquer finish is worn or missing in part, and there has been a small wear-through to the plate where a solder repair has been made at the top of the foot pedestal joining the body, now showing a very slight crack (see our last photo).  Otherwise, the pair is in good vintage condition with a striking design.
